Chef, 2014 - ★★★½

I postet a new movie review on Letterboxd

I've never seen a movie this tasty.

Just saw it in cinema today, it was a random movie and I didn't know what it would be until I saw it (which is okay if you only pay 5 bucks).

I knew nothing going into this except the trailer I saw once.

And well, it just is a tasty movie. There is lots of food in this, better not watch it hungry.

To be honest, I didn't like the beginning, I don't really know why but I didn't enjoy it, but after the first hour it was lots of fun and I really enjoyed it. It's so much fun. And a real "feel good" movie. It just leaves you happy, really happy.

Jon Favreau is good, he plays the chef really believable and I think he really has some cooking skills. John Leguizamo is usually a smaller part in a movie but here he is the sidekick and I like him, he is fun to watch. All in all, the actors are good and the cast has really some big names. Robert Downey Jr has a small role, almost a cameo, but when he is on screen he is really fun, has some of the best lines and after his scenes the movie becomes more fun than it was before.

I don't think I have much more to say about it, nothing world changing but also not a bad movie.

I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.
