After I stopped doing it for a while I'm now going back and going on ranking my Last 10 Top 10 movies of 2016. This is number 15, so it includes the 150th movie watched this year. Yay.
Inside Out was just a really fun time, I don't think I have to explain it being ranked that high.
Second is Escape from New York, a fun action flick by John Carpenter, set in a different, interesting world. I had fun for sure.
Adventureland was also fun, I watched it on TV and in German dub, and it wasn't something special at all, but it was not bad.
I love Stephen King. A Good Marriage is based on one of King's short stories, and I have actually read it some time ago. I liked the story, and I enjoyed how they put it to film, it wasn't bad and the acting was well done.
Probably one of my highest Letterboxd Movie Night watches, the Record Breaker is a documentary short about a guy breaking quite a few records. It was interesting and a great time with the letterboxd crew.
The Toxic Avenger is just weird and crazy. Better done that I thought, I gotta say that. But it's Troma, for sure.
A Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell is also Troma, but not as well done, and actually quite crazy. Fun watching with the letterboxd people though.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: A Family Portrait is a documentary about the making of TCM. It wasn't bad, but to be honest it wasn't well done, and it was not really entertaining.
Mausoleum was ... well it was something. Not really sure what to say about it, it's really weird and crazy and I just bought it cause it looked like a "so bad it's good" movie, and that's what it was, just not good enough, in the end.
Scars of Dracula could have been further up I guess. But to be completely honest, I watched this almost 3 months ago and I don't remember a thing. I did not really pay attention to Adventureland, but I remember more about it than I did about Scars of Dracula, which in the end means to me it was the least interesting, the least enjoyable.
That's my list for those 10, I'll go on to the next one immediately, hoping to get through them all today. Hope you'll read on.
