Halloween III: Season of the Witch, 1982 - ★★★½

I sometimes hate the normal movie going audiences. This movie was hated by everybody, not because it was bad, not because it was boring, not because it made them feel uncomfortable. They hated it because there was no Michael Myers in this. But if you watch it in the context of an anthology or just as a standalone movie, it is really good.

The story is something new, something interesting, something that wasn't made before. The acting was good and the characters were good too. Of course it's an 80s movie, and it feels like an 80s movie. But for the 80s, those were the best movies they had.

It reminded me a lot of Invasion of the Body Snatchers from 1978, also because I feel like Tom Atkins looks kind of similar to Donald Sutherland, but also all in all the ongoing threat of something being off just a little bit.

Also, I love the Silver Shamrock Theme. It's really stuck in my head.
