I really liked Pitch Perfect. It was a fun movie with great music and lots of fun. Went into Pitch Perfect 2 wanting to like it. "People hate sequels. It can't be that bad." ... yes it can.
It's kind of ironic that the story of the movie is that original work is good and that it's not all about redoing the same thing over and over, but in the end Pitch Perfect 2 is the same story, just worse.
The movie starts off with them not being allowed to tour and not being allowed to cast new singers, which is followed by them having a few more gigs and casting a new singer.
I just didn't have any fun, even though some of the music numbers weren't bad, in the end this was a bad movie, and it was lacking the heart of the first one. 2 out of 5 stars.
