Wow what a powerful movie.

I knew how it would end and I was still on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen, anf if everything will be working as planned.

With The Conjuring 2 the movie felt so stylized that the scares didn't really work for me and I started paying attention to cinematography and wondering how it was made.
WIth A Man Escaped I actually forgot I was watching a movie, I felt like I was with the prisoner, wishing I could help him.

I still noticed some cinematography though, I love that we never really see the guards faces. Because of this little subconcious thing they felt even stronger, they didn't feel like people, but just like this faceless force, danger.

What's really special is that this movie is real. It was shot in the exact prison the guy was helt, it was all done like he told it, with him as consultant. They even used the real ropes he used. That's just crazy.

I'm rating this movie 5 out of 5 stars, it's a recommend for everyone.
