When I heard the setup, a group of mathematicians locked in a room, having to solve puzzles while the walls come closer, I was hooked. It sounded like a great idea and I was excited to see it.
Sadly, it wasn't as cool as I hoped it would be. It was a good movie, don't get me wrong. Just not what I expected. The puzzles and riddles were fairly well known, I've seen half of them before. All nothing you need the best mathematicians in the world for.
In the end it was still an enjoyable movie, about 4 characters held up in a room, leaving you guessing, making you think. The DVD cover compared it to saw which I'd say is a fair connection to make.
It was fun, and it's a recommendation for sure. 3 out of 5 stars.
