It was enjoyable enough, beautifully shot. Everything looked great and even Cinemasins removed a sin for how great it looks.
But these jump scares really annoy me by now. There is nothing subtle to this movie at all. Almost every scene is just siiiilence and then BOOO. To paraphrase the Cinemasins video: At one point they literally resort to pulling up the covers shouting Boo. And those Jump Scares took me out of the movie, and I think that's the reason I wasn't scared by the good scares in this movie. When the Nun's shadow walks up to the painting, people were scared by that. I was so out of the movie by that point I just thought "Well, that's a cool shot."
But in the end it is still an interesting story, with stunning visuals, so I'm giving it a 3 out of 5 stars.
