Little Hercules, 2010 - ★½

First of all, since the official title is "Little Hercules in 3-D" I should add I have not seen this movie in 3D, so maybe that skewed my enjoyment of this movie a little.

I thought for my 300th movie of 2016 I should pick something big. Something spectacular. Something I wanted to watch for a long time. But then I said "Nah, fuck it" and watched Little Hercules.

In this movie starring Little Hercules as himself, the Big Show and the whole Hogan Clan, Little Hercules flees the Olympus and lands right in LA to become a normal boy. On earth he meets Little C, and they are off for shenanigans, mostly involving Olympic games (what a coincidence).

It's actually quite entertaining in a Letterboxd Movie Night kind of way. I have no idea why this is not one of those "so bad it's good" movies, but instead is a movie no one knows about. It stars Hulk Hogan and The Big Show, and they are even "fighting" each other on multiple occasions (sadly we don't get a Leg Drop from the Hulkster).

Story wise this movie makes no sense at all. Hogan ... I mean Zeus gives Lil Herc the opportunity to use his magic strength THREE times. And Herc uses the strength right away to show people what he can do, so for basically no reason he uses all his power and from then on is a normal boy with just the most muscular body ever. Really, he looks super creepy.

The acting is not good by any of the parties, except for Lil C. I don't know but that little guy is really smooth and I wish we could get a Little C solo movie.

So all in all even though this movie is total crap, it is a fun time when you watch it with a few friends, maybe drink a few beers and make fun of it. It should get way more attention for sure. I'm rating it 1.5 out of 5 stars, just because why not.
